Left To Write ("we", "us") runs lefttowrite.store. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

WHAT WE COLLECT

- Order details: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address, and what you bought. Card details are handled by our payment providers; we never see or store your full card number.

- Account details: if you create an account, your login and order history.

- Marketing sign-ups: your email or phone number if you join our mailing list, SMS list, loyalty scheme or enter a pop-up offer.

- Messages: anything you send us by email, chat or social media.

- Browsing information: your device, browser, IP address, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technology.

WHY WE USE IT

- To process, pack, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds (to perform our contract with you).

- To keep business and tax records (legal obligation).

- To prevent fraud and keep our site secure (legitimate interests).

- To understand how our site is used and improve it (legitimate interests, or your consent where cookies require it).

- To send you marketing emails or texts and show you our ads on social media and Google (your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We only share what each provider needs to do its job:

- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments.

- Payment providers: Shop Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

- Fulfilment and delivery: Mintsoft and our warehouse partner, DPD and Royal Mail.

- Email and SMS marketing: Mailchimp and our pop-up sign-up tool.

- Our loyalty programme provider.

- Advertising: Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, to show our products and measure our ads.

- Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the US and Canada. Where they do, the transfer is protected by a UK adequacy decision or approved contract terms.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Order and payment records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax rules. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is deleted when we no longer need it.

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work, such as your basket and checkout. With your consent, we also use analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choice through our cookie banner or your browser settings.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another service. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email lefttowritestore@gmail.com and we will reply within one month.

CHILDREN

We sell some children's clothing, but our site is meant for adults to buy from. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
